file explorer extension??

I have been trying to find a decent file explorer that has a search as good as everything but it seems quite a task. I'd really like just a simply capability of exploring files so instead of having to launch explorer when I click a folder in everything just open a new tab or panel with the capability to drag/drop searched files to a specific folder.

I use Everything in combination with other utilities (including file managers).

I use Altap Salamander File Manager (shareware).
Others that I've looked at only briefly & may be worth considering; Total Commander (shareware), FreeCommander or Unreal Commander.

(None will have search like Everything.)

well really I'd just like a small panel that can navigate to specific folders that can be extended on the side so that it doesn't clutter up the interface.
