Type a new string in the Search Edit.
Then focus the Result List.
Now the string is in the history.

There should be at least one way to prevent the current string from being saved automatically.

An incognito mode is on my TODO list.
I'll also add some ini options to customize when search history is saved. So if you prefer, you could have Everything only save the search to history when an action is performed.

Another situation that should be considered:

Search for str1 and str2.
Delete the two items in the history.
Go back/forward.
The deleted ones are in the history again.
