In general I let Everything search for files and folders in my partition D:
I included this partition in the database in option Indexes/NTFS dialog of Everything.
It works fine.
However occasionally I want to search (only) in a different partition E:
I could now go to options and change the Indexes/NTFS parameters (disable D: and enable E:).
After performing of the search I have to manually rollback the options and revert back to my original default partition.
This is tedious and user unfriendly.
So I ask if it is possible to call (a second) instance of Everything with a different set of options. Here another partition included in database.
It should be possible to pass the partition as parameter on the cmdline similar to:
everything.exe /includedntfspartition:E:
This way I could create a shortcut and double click on it if necessary.
Is this somehow possible?
Otherwise could this option be added to the next release?
Thank you
Peter
How to index/search one time (!) in different partition? cmdline parameter?

Without changing anything you could simply preface your search with, E:.
Or set up a Filter, say, E_ONLY.
Then when you want E: only, choose the E_ONLY filter.
