extract data from a defect Everything.db

Post by hakini »

Hello Forum

I have the following problem:

At first I had a mistake that had nothing to do with Everything.
And by this error, some folders on my computer were deleted.
And now I try to recover the lost data as far as possible.

And then I thought, fortunately I have a recently saved Everything.db in which I at least the names of the deleted data would have to be able to recover.

But when I then asked to load the Everything.db without updating it, with a special Everything version from Void, this did not work.
Then I tested another much earlier saved Everything.db on whether I can load it without updating it and with this it worked perfectly.

Therefore, I now assume that the Everything.db which I currently need is defect.
Everything can not load it without updating it and generates an Errorlog.txt with the following content:

"... .\ Src \ db.cpp (4411): db :: _ load (): if (40566824 + 41468869 + 4> 42663976): Invalid folder offset."

Now I wonder what does this error message mean?
And is it still possible to extract the content of this Everything.db?

best regards
