How to use IPC SDK?

I read the following webpage on the IPC application, but it's not clear to me how to install the files that come with the download, or how I can use the IPC functionality. I understand that a new deskband is under development. Will more instructions on how to use the IPC files be provided when the deskband is released?

You will need to include the IPC header with your C/C++ application.

You might like to look at the source code to the existing C/C++ IPC extensions are available from:

I am considering releasing the "Everything" deskband source code.
