I finally registered after many, many years & several computers' worth of using this great program.
So hello.
I've always just read as a guest in the past, but something finally got stuck in my crawl bad enough that I had to register & ask.
Maybe this exists already, probably does. I've just never seen it described in any documentation, in options, or in config. file, etc.
What I'm talking about is, in Explorer, let's say you have a folder opened and you are renaming a file or even a folder, it doesn't matter. When you are done, you can automatically go to the next file/folder and have it in "rename" mode by just pressing "tab," and "shift+tab" takes you backwards.
Does this feature exist, just with different key/keys? If so, what are they?
If not, is this something that can be added in a future release without too much hassle?
I appreciate any help or insights provided.
Cheers beers,
TR0N1C

Thank you for your feedback TR0N1C,
Everything 1.4 has a hidden rename_nav option.
When enabled, you can use Down Arrow key and Up Arrow key to jump to the next/previous item.
To enable rename_nav:
Everything 1.5 supports TAB and Shift + TAB to jump to the next/previous item.

Re: Keyboard shortcut for next file when renaming (explorer "tab" key)
Well, that explains it all. I'm currently on 1.4.1.1030
Although I kinda wish I didn't post the question, occasionally I'd hit TAB while renaming & nothing would happen. Finally, this prompted me to post. However, I wish I hadn't because I would have been SO SURPRISED & happy when I inevitably I'd hit TAB, but this time it'd go to the next file.
Regardless, I truly appreciate your insights.
Thanks,
TR0N1C
P.S. Sorry for the late reply, also thank you for your quick response.
