Hello,
I just installed Everything on a friends computer to help her find files, but after a few moments, a Windows type notification popped up in the lower right side of the screen that indicated that Everything was in the process of downloading files.
I had never seen this before so I clicked cancel.
There are some network drives on her computer I think. I am not familiar with those.
Any ideas about this?
I don't want any files downloaded, just indexed as usual.
Thanks.

Re: Automatic File Downloads?
Everything doesn't access files directly.
Everything is probably hitting a cloud folder and downloading file icons or thumbnails.
Please try adding your OneDrive folder and other cloud folders under Tools -> Options -> Exclude.
-or-
Disable icon shell extensions:
Copy and paste the following into your Everything search box:
/icon_shell_extensions=0
Press ENTER in your Everything search box.
If successful, icon_shell_extensions=0 is shown in the status bar for a few seconds.
and show results in detail mode (View -> Details)

Ok, thank you for that.
