Unable to add network index: Invalid username or password

Post by luckulucki »

Hello,

I'm not sure, when it stopped to work, but today I recognized, that all the searchresults are way too old which I receive from the connected remote server in EV. I then encountered, that the firewall on my pc was blocking EV requests to the remote server, so I fixed that. EV can now reach the remtote pc, but could not log in successfully ("login failed").

I removed the whole configuration for network indexes on both, the remote pc and my pc to start from scratch, because I did not remember the passwortd I used... %-)

Now I have this simple set up on the remote pc:
remote-pc.png

but I can't login from my pc:
my-pc.png

its a 2 letter test-password "ev". the same as the username.

Am I completely wrong in what I'm doing or trying to achive? Can't remember it was so complicated the last time I set this up.

Please, help with some hints. It can't be that hard ;-) Thank you!

Please update your Everything Server plugin on the server.

Encryption was improved in Everything Server 1.0.1.2.
Everything 1.5.0.1393a and later will be unable to connect to the older Everything Server.
