Focus on result item which was selected last time

Post by burgundy »

When I repeat a former search and (if I recall correctly) press TAB to go to the results list, then Everything would focus on the result item which was selected last time.

This no longer happens. I wonder if I have changed a setting inadvertently. Is there a way to restore this?

Uncheck Tools -> Options -> Results -> Clear selection on search.

Hi Rube, my confusion came from using TAB rather than ENTER. I have no idea why I started to do that. :(

This thread has shown (in the link to the "Beyondo Broken" thread) that locating recently used Everything results fields can be customised with options I hadn't previously been aware of.

I will figure out which combination works for me but, as it is still in Alpha, the official default assignments sometimes change and this sometimes clashes with my customisations. I am not sure how I am going to fare when version 1.5 gets fully released and my old INI file is loaded with personal changes because I would like to be as standard as possible!
