The merging of two Index ideas Folders and EFUs file lists:
Under Index>Folders There are many options to monitor changes of a list of folders such as Rescan (frequency), Fast Scan ..
Under Index>File Lists there is only a way to add lists manually (single file or multiple files are once)
Merging these two ideas together my suggestion is to have a sub Panel Below Basic File Lists selections and add a "EFU folder" or multiple EFU folders to monitor option.
These would work exactly like Indexes>Folders but only scan for new / updated .EFU files to be imported on a schedule or automatically if it finds detects a new efu file.
Example Scenario:
I run a batch file located in the root directory of several external hard drives / online and offline NAS devices that create a .efu file of the entire drive.
The resultant .efu files is saved in the drive's root directory & copied to a central location that contain all .EFU files. Each laptop / PC in the household has these File lists added manually to their respective everything instance.
Creating this additional panel / monitored folder enables all computers running everything to only monitor a folder instead of having to manually add .efu files from new drives / devices.
I'm sure there are more effective ways to solve this issue via a shared database or merging .efu files first. I prefer the single .efu file per drive method due to simplicity and ability to open each file using a txt editor.
Another possible search parameter could be EFU_Folder_Name. I'm sure someone would find it useful to search by EFU folder (One follder for blueray disk backups, external drives, tapes, offline nas.

Re: Option > File Lists > EFU Folder
Indexing all filelists in a specific folder is on my TODO list.
Thank you for the suggestion.
For now, you'll need to manually add each individual filelist by filename to your index.
It might be easier to edit your Everything.ini directly.
For example:
filelists=C:\folder\file.efu,C:\folder\file2.efu,D:\another folder\file3.efu
filelists
-or-
-add-filelists <filenames> command line option.
