what does "ctrl+enter" do in search bar?

I know that in search result list, when a file is selected, press ctrl+enter will open its directory,
but when in search bar , press ctrl+enter , the focus will goto search result list, and aways select a same file, I don't why

Pressing Ctrl + Enter is the same as pressing Enter.

Press Enter or Ctrl + Enter from the search box will focus the most run result.
