Everything doesn't have a fast sort for type.
Everything will reset the sort to Name ascending each time you change your search.
To always keep the current sort, please try the following:

- Copy and paste the following into the Everything search box:
/always_keep_sort=1 - Press ENTER in the Everything search box.
- If successful, always_keep_sort=1 is shown in the status bar for a few seconds.
