Automatically include new removable volumes - nothing happens?

I activated: Automatically include new removable volumes

I plugged in a USB stick (Win assigned drive letter E: to it automatically) to the computer and nothing happens.

Is there anything else to do?

Is this drive (/volume) indeed NTFS fomatted?

(There are similar settings for FAT, ReFS and Network drives).
