How to restore previous search results on start?

When I first installed Everything, I used to get the previous search results shown in the search window. But now for some reason, it doesn't and this has been a problem for me.
Is there any way I change some setting so that it shows the search results from my last search?

Yes there is a setting for that: Search = Use last value

This setting can be found under Menu:Tools > Options > General > Home
