Search for characters at beginning of filename

Is there a way to search for characters at the beginning of a file name without using Regex?

I didn't see anything to do this in the Advanced search dialogue.

Match start of filename with caret - Everything 1.5

Example:
Everything.ini

match_start_of_filename_with_caret=1

-Using wildcards will match the whole filename.

Does this also apply to Everything version 1.4?

(I'm not using ver.1.5 until it goes to beta.)
