Just curious,is there is a way to add some filter to the search bar that will be applied only to that specific tab
To hide the file extensions(I have the visible by default and want to keep them that way)
It's not a big deal,I just want to know if such a feature already exist

Re: Filter to hide file extension in a tab
Right-click the column header, & deselect Extension.
(By default, new window/tab will carry over existing tab settings, but you can simple reverse the process to add it back in.)

Everything doesn't have the option to temporarily hide the file extension.
The closest option Everything has is to show the Stem column.
Include the following in your search:

Not per tab, bug globally, couldn't you set up a hotkey (or whatever) to toggle, .
Might suffice.
So you set it to hide (which will affect all tabs), then toggle it when you're done with not seeing extensions.

The /hide_extension thing can be added to a bookmark.
Then at the bottom press a key for the shortcut or let it be and use it like a normal bookmark where you click for it.
Especially if it's seldom enough to not warrant a key that can get in the way.
I have never used keys for bookmarks, so Idk how it works.
If it works anywhere as long as the window is focused or if it only works if the result list is focused.
Maybe it can be changed in settings.
