If I'm not wrong, you can only change length_dupe_tolerance through advanced settings.
I think it would be very useful to be able to "play" with it while searching for duplicate videos by adding a search function that takes priority over the permanent setting.
Make length_dupe_tolerance a search function instead of just an advanced setting

Related, Smart Dupe.
Would setting the tolerance factor in a different window/tab, then reloading (resorting / re-dupe-ing) the tab in you're in, accomplish that?
So in one tab you have the files you're dealing with
& in another that you have the Search set to /length_dupe_tolerance=1000
& when you want to try another scenario, you jump to that tab & set it to, length_dupe_tolerance=5000 or =500...
then in your original tab Find Length Duplicates, again, & I suppose that would then pick up files based on your change tolerance?

Thank you for the suggestion.
That could work, but I still don't find it ideal, because whatever setting you choose stays permanently if you forget to reset it before you close the window. I'd prefer to have set my preferred value as the default and then only change it temporarily when needed.
