search history in index journal

Would it be possible to have a search history, or even bookmarks in the index journal?

I refer to the index journal fairly frequently, and having to type in multiple exclusions every time.

If I want persistent search history/saved search terms from the HTTP interface, that would require the index journal to support it first, right?

The HTTP interface does not have access to the index journal.

Your webbrowser will save search history over the HTTP interface.
