Fast rescan slow down

I recently updated from 1338 to 1346 and the daily fast rescan of my network drive went from ~2.5 hours to ~6.5 hours.

Any ideas?

version 1344a introduced a database upgrade; that required a rebuild of the database, which takes longer than a rescan.
This is a one-time action to bring your "old" database structure up-to-date.
From now it's back to fast rescanning

You mean that you had version 1346a already running for some time (and let it do its rebuild) before the fast rescan kicked in?

Yes. I was using 1338 for a few months and the daily fast rescans were taking about 2.5 hours.

A week ago, I updated to 1346. The initial rebuild took around 8 hours, which is how long it would take with 1338. But now, a week later, the daily fast rescans are taking about 6.5 hours; much longer than with 1338.

Unfortunately I don't know what could cause this, other than slow/congested network connections.
But you probably already ruled that out, so hopefully someone more knowledgeable steps in ..

Everything 1.5.0.1347a improves fast rescan performance.

1346a used a slightly slower method to gather folders attributes.
1347a reverts back to the faster method to gather folder attributes.

Please let me know if this change helps with your fast rescan performance.
