Moving the x

Is it possible to move the x in the search bar to the far left?

Also, relating to a couple of recent posts, are you still going to include a GO (enter) button in the search bar?

For me the current place near the drop-down is logical.

Might be of interest: it is possible to remove the "X" from the search bar:
Enter the following search and press ENTER:

/search_close_button=0

After restarting Everything, the "X" is gone.

To restore:

/search_close_button=1

[void]

I will consider an option to show the close/clear button on the left (or immediately after the text).

Thanks, I did also think of immediately after the entered text but wasn't sure if that was possible. Maybe another location could be on the menu bar after help.
