Suggestions for Everything Server

I started Everything Server in Plugins, other machines can link normally, but when the host logs off, others prompts to go offline.Looks like it's not running as a service, but just a process.I think, as a "Server," it should be start with power on, whether or not you're logged on to the desktop.

To install the Everything Server as a service，copy Everything.exe to a new folder ……

Why? Can't the service use an executable file at the same time as normal mode?

The Everything Service is only used to provide the search client with low level read access to NTFS volumes.

The Everything Service is not required because running Everything as a client service will provide enough privileges.



You can use your normal Everything.exe in any folder.
Please make sure Store settings and data in %APPDATA%\Everything is disabled under Tools -> Options -> General.
