I'm pretty sure that at one time I was able to copy something to the Windows clipboard, and when I started Everything it was already pasted into the search box. If so, could someone remind me of the setting please?

I am not aware of such a setting in Evrything.
However, there are a couple of threads on tis forum that use external utilities to accomplish just that.

Thanks, appreciate the fast reply. Prompted by your post I think I may have been using one of my Macro Express Pro scripts. I have several. But after a (very brief) search I couldn't find one that pasted directly from the clipboard on opening Everything. Maybe I'll write one.

I'm not sure of any apps that do this.
The next major version of Everything will have the #clipboard: search which will be replaced with the clipboard contents.

As mentioned, I used Macro Express Pro to create a macro to do so, activated in several ways.
Great, that will be handy. The next major version of Everything will have the #clipboard: search which will be replaced with the clipboard contents.
