shell: function support has been added to 781b for testing:

For a list of shell: shortcuts, please see:

Please make sure to escape spaces with double quotes, for example:
shell:"local pictures"

Can't say I'd heard about shell: before, or if I did I don't remember.
Related, Nirsoft's SpecialFoldersView - Easily jump to special folders in Windows.

I plead the "don't remember" part, http://www.pcqanda.com/dc/dcboard.php?a ... rch#525259

Does not seem to work at all
  • Everything
    Version 1.4.1.781b (x64)
    Windows NT 6.1
    Processors 4
    IsAdmin 0
    AppData 1
    Service 1
    ........
    new results
    search 'shell:games' filter '' sort 2
    SET SORT 2
    no search history hwn
found 0 folders, size 0, db search time taken: 0.000026 seconds
found 0 files, size 0, db search time taken: 0.000058 seconds
Tried other shell: commands, same lack of results. They work from Windows (which is new to me & interesting) to open folders.

Virtual shell: folders will not work, only shell: folders with a valid path will work in Everything.

For a list of known folders, and their types, see:
