User Account Control

Post by TFU2014 »

I am currently using Everything v1.3.4.686 and start it on system startup.
It would be nice to be able to skip the User Account Control warning as it done for example in the CCleaner (refer to Options > Advanced tab).

Please try installing the Everything service and disabling Run as administrator.

To install the Everything service:
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the General tab.
  • Check Everything Service.
  • Click OK.
To disable run as administrator:
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the General tab.
  • Uncheck Run as administrator.
  • Click OK.

Everything is set to "run as administrator" but still requires User Acount Control release every time.

Do not: "run as administrator".

Instead: install the Everything service.

Thank you!

Worked perfectly. Everything was the only program (so far) that required UAC authorization every time I ran it.
