Search History

It would be nice if the search text history was save and displayed as a DropDown Input Box.

It is.
If you are not running "Everything" version 1.2.1.451a, you should be.

I have always found the search history feature to be very useful, and I have just downloaded Everything v1.3.0.632b and can't figure out how to enable it. Has this feature been removed?

Yes it was removed.
Though I believe it is set to make a comeback?

I have re-implemented search history for the next beta release..

There are a few bugs I need to fix before uploading this.

Hi Void.

I like the idea of a history feature. But I didn't think the way the 1.2.451(?) alpha did it was very useful.

It seemed to list the history by the most popular, then alphabetical within that. It was not configurable either.

Most other programs that offer a history list do so in the order of most recently used, and if possible I'd like to see that as an option.

Many thanks in advance.

Search history results will be listed by search count.

If you look at the existing (from .451a) Run/SearchHistory.xml files you will see they are ordered by Run/Search count.

If you can't find those files, you can use a utility; Everything & have it look for "history .xml \everything".
That'll probably find them ;-).
