Hi,
This is a suggestion, to add an option to Everything, Version 1.5.0.1265a (x64).
I know it probably doesn’t come at the top of the list even if it got on to it.
This post is aimed at Windows 10 version 21H1 or previous version.
I am a fan of coloured folders & Customized icons.
I believe you can find your data a lot quicker visually when your
Icons/folders are colour coded.
This principle works OK on a Local Windows PC.
I do it by this method:
[.ShellClassInfo]
IconResource=F:\DATA\EXCEL\Excel.ico,0
OR
I have used third party software as well, such as Rainbow_Folders.
None of these methods work when you are viewing folders on a NAS system
Or windows network drives even if the network drives are mapped to the Local PC.
I know it can be done if you use a windows file explorer replacement like XYplorer 21.90.
And I know how they do it!
But not everyone wants to do that!
We like to keep our options open!
I would be interested to know what your thought to my
Suggestion are, to weather, it’s a runner or not?
Thank You.
