Re: HTTPS server (via Let’s Encrypt cert?)
For those that want this: I used this app on Github to get a LetsEncrypt certificate for IIS on Windows. You just install IIS, add in your binding for your external DNS, ensure your firewall/NAT is configured on port 80, and this does the rest to add the certificate and https binding. https://github...

HTTPS server (via Let’s Encrypt cert?)
Long-time fan of Everything Search Engine here... It's my favorite application by far. With Chrome now marking sites insecure when only using HTTP, I'm really hoping we can vote up inclusion of HTTPS for serving Everything Search over the internet. [Confession] I cringe each time I use it over the i...

I was about to post that I was wrong when I got a notification that you responded. It still uses the same method. I just didn't check my .ini file. As you mentioned here: http://forum.voidtools.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1624 ... All I had to do was add the following to my Everything.ini file. For some...

All folders refreshing when adding another.
First of all, I LOVE the new folder and file list options! I have Everything (version 1.3.0.631b) update 8 network folder locations which includes 983,612 objects. Is there any way to make it so it doesn't have to update ALL folders when just adding one? I would consider it almost a bug because it d...

For the longest time, I have assigned Shift-Esc as my Toggle Window hotkey. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to do this now because as soon as you press Esc , the window closes. Can you please fix this? Of course, without now being able to auto-sort by Recent Changes and no HTTP server option :cr...

Re: "Everything" version 1.3.0.629b FAQ
Where did the ETP/FTP/HTTP servers go? They have been removed from Everything. I hope to release them as an addon at a later date. Folder indexing should replace some functionality of ETP. Given your update history, I know you might not answer this, but do you have any idea of the timeline on this?...

Can we petition David (void) to make open-source the code? Everything is my favorite software for Windows, hands-down. I use it CONSTANTLY. I feel utterly dependent on it because it's so good. To be clear, I am referring to version 1.2.1.451a. I really don't understand why he hasn't made this versio...

Re: Any new version after 1.21.452a?
I wouldn't worry about future versions of Windows, at least not yet. I can confirm the Everything Search Engine works on Windows 8 and Windows Server 8. The issue isn't Windows. It's the file system format. I can confirm that Everything does NOT work on ReFS ( Re silient F ile S ystem, originally co...

Re: search a networked computer
Sorry to be so obtuse but I'm still lost and cannot get it to work. I need better pictures or something. You'll need to know the IP address on the computer that has the ETP Server running on it that you want to connect to. (something like: 192.168.1.50 on a local network) You can discover this by d...

I figured out what I needed to do by looking at the command line options on the Everything Wiki page: http://support.voidtools.com/everything/Command_line_options#-host All I had to do was modify the startup line in the registry to use a modified config file (e.g. EverythingUser.ini) that doesn't st...

Simply put a / before the folder name so your search above would be: master svg /deskto If you need the wildcard on the end, put the / at the end like you did. You don't need an asterisk * Thank you very much for your reply, deepdvd. I think I didn't explain my point perfectly well. When I type: ma...

This is fixed (as long as you don't have Regex search enabled, obviously) in the non-release version 1.2.1.451a found in the following thread if you want to try it.

Re: "Everything" version 1.2.1.451a
I'm running the above named version, and I have a consistent issue. If I use a rename utility to rename a bunch of files in a folder structure, Everything suddenly thinks that folder is empty. Even turning off the DB for the folder and then turning it back on again doesn't regenerate the database. ...
