Each time I hit the del key, the file is deleted (correctly) and the search field comes to focus. I don't see that behavior in 1.4. Frequently Everything will lock up for long periods of time saying "not responding".
Other then the large number of files (how large, though still shouldn't cause issues), doing anything particular prior to the issue, particular settings you have enabled, particular search that may be the cause ...?

I'll assume that if you were to use Edge, Chrome, or whatever, the same does not occur?


Disable all extensions (or run FF in Safe Mode for a while) & see if the hits continue?

It should be returning everything.
So you should be seeing:

P:\Projects\500\587\587.000\file1.txt
P:\Projects\500\587\587.000\file2.txt ...

If you added the parent:, mentioned above, that would restrict your results.

Horizontal layout is fine. Having the directory name (rather then "Parent Folder") is fine. The Copy, would be a right-click (context-menu or Ctrl+C, even from outside of Everything) 'Copy' function.
And the Paste, would be context-menu, through the (Everything) 'Parent Folder' path there.
