It is only a matter of opinions, for me everything looks good as is as.
Often shareware apps are using eccessive graphic to cover a shit program.

simple is beautiful. Look at google. It started very plainly and has pretty much stayed that way (as I hope it will).

I hope David will not listen to such a requests. The utility has to be SMALL (PORTABLE) and very FAST, including fast GUI respose. Any excessive "make-ups" have to be garbaged forever. IMHO, of course.

"Everything" is beautiful..........in it's own way.

(Would like to see the program icon changed to an infinity symbol, though. Or at least an option.)

I love the quote below very much, suiting to Everything too ( so does to Cathy http://www.mtg.sk/rva/ http://www.mtg.sk/rva/Cathy.zip ( 47 kB ) , and to their hypothetic child, inheriting realtime search and search not limited to names or local NTFS )

The point of perfectness is NOT you cannot add anything...
The point of perfectness is you cannot remove anything...

Given the current context, perhaps this quote should be revised ...

[new quote :-)]

The point of perfectness is NOT you cannot add "Everything"...
The point of perfectness is you cannot remove "Everything"...

Oh & of course Everything is beautiful as it is. It sure does not need any lip gloss.

(Cathy has been around for ages. The oldest version I have archived is from 2000.)

Everything is FINE don't touch it

I usually adhere to this well-known problem-solving flowchart:

http://dangerousintersection.org/wp-con ... -chart.jpg

The reason people download Everything is because it's fast, small and simple. The purpose of Everything is to find files, not to stare at its GUI. Everything is so fast that I hardly get a chance to look at it, therefore eye candy is useless. Furthermore, eye candy achieves nothing and slows down the system. The original poster is either joking or a complete fool. He or she should go elsewhere to look for eye candy or just use the Windows built-in search, but please do not come here trying to corrupt the finest piece of software ever created, because software like Everything in its current state is extremely hard to come by.

Just my 2 cents.
