A "Deskband" is on my TODO list.

To enable Search History (it's disabled by default):
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the History tab on the left.
  • Check Enable search history.
  • Click OK.
To add a search to your search history:
Press ENTER from the Search bar.
-or-
Perform an action on a result.

Search history can be accessed from the drop down box to the right of the search box.
All search history can be accessed from View -> GoTo -> Show All History.
Press Ctrl + Space to auto complete searches.

Search history is stored in %APPDATA%\Everything\Search History.csv
You should be able to create a word cloud from this file with a third party tool.

Thanks for the suggestions.

There is something I have been wondering every time I see this request(the way Everything works,I don't see the point of the toolbar)

What is the difference between:
A) Single clicking on the tray icon to bring the everything window and set it to auto close when you run something
B) Or single clicking on that toolbar to be able to start typing(this is also a requirement to use cortana and you can also set a hotkey to bring the window...the same way as Win+S)

Everything can be set to:
Bring the search window with a single click
Auto close the window when running a file\folder
Auto focus the search bar when you bring the search window
Display a list of recently opened files\folders(I set my Home page with "Date Run" sorting order so I always see what I started before)

Basically,it can do everything you can do with the toolbar but without it,there is no extra steps that you have to do if you don't use the toolbar

It can also be set to hide the window on close so the next time you try to bring the window,it will appear faster(with your last search result)than recreating the window(not that it takes a lot of time)
