Prioritized sorting

Post by john_robot » Mon Sep 21, 2009 9:24 pm

Everything does not show the most entered searches first. It does not seem to prioritize the search with the most entered keywords at the top. (as Launchy and al others do)
or does it?
With Launchy for instance I have to enter skype and launch the program 4-5 times and after that "Skype" becomes the first item in the list straight after pressing the S

Sorting by run frequency will be available in the next release of "Everything".

You might like to try this now with the following alpha:

(425a.zip says 425b within <the .exe filename> as did 425b.zip <when it was available>, both being the same, of course ;-).)

When is a new beta coming out "Everything-1.2.1.425b" the filtering doesn't work at all.. still no planned option to include a show/hide folder option.. because the filtering doesn't work I can't try the current filtering workflow, but seeing as you can't even make quick adjustments to a filter without going into the options.. *cough *locate32 ui

Some GUI parts are there, though the back-end coding is not complete. So until that time ...

(When you ask? When it's ready ;-).)
