How to use Everything in normal user accounts?

Post by jason404 »

I use normal user domain accounts in everyday use.

Is there any way to get Everything to only run within a normal user account, without needing elevation, and with it only searching through files that the account has access to? I only want it to search through user files, and not system files.

Everything needs to run with Admin privileges.
And so it has access to everything ;-).

To exclude, you would need to do something like; Tools Options | Exclude & then add those directories you did not want.

If Windows is installed in its own partition, that makes things easier, cause then you can exclude the entire partition, like E:\.

Hi therube. Sorry for the late reply - I had not set Reply Notifications on the forum settings.

So there is no way to run Everything as a normal user? This is a real pity, as that means I cannot use it on domain accounts.
